Donald Wayne Woodson Sr., 83, of Columbia passed away Friday, March 27, 2015 at his home.



Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m., Monday, March 30 at Memorial Funeral Home. Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 31 at Hallsville United Methodist Church. Burial to follow at Oakland Church Cemetery.



Don was born March 23, 1932 in Middletown, Missouri to the late Lloyd and Dorothy Woodson and was raised in Mexico Missouri. Don married Rose Long on August 20,1955 in Columbia and she survives.

Don was a meat cutter for over 30 years. He was a member of the Downtown Optimist Club and the Hallsville United Methodist Church. He loved going to auctions and having garage sales.



In addition to his wife, Rose, Don is survived by his four sons, Donald Wayne Woodson, Jr. (Cathy), Mike Woodson (Ginger), Alan Woodson, and Charles Woodson (Joyce); two brothers, Larry Woodson (Kay) and Glenn Woodson (Judy); three grandchildren, Joe Woodson, Kelli Jo Woodson Buettner (Kyle) and Ashley Woodson Nichols (Nate); and one great granddaughter, Lily Woodson.



He is also preceded in death by twin daughters; a sister, Wanda Thanos; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Woodson.



In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Hallsville United Methodist Church, 11700 North Route B, Hallsville, Missouri.
