Obituary


Gary Paul Pack, 66 of Columbia, Missouri passed away Tuesday November 22, 2016. A brief visitation will commence at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, November 26 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 105 Waugh Street, Columbia, Missouri followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m.



Gary was preceded in death by his father, Loy Pack, and his mother and step-father, Janet (Windsich) and Tom English. Gary is survived by his loving wife, Janet (Holtkamp) Pack, of the home and his brother, Ken Pack, of Golden, Colorado.

Gary was preceded in death by his father, Loy Pack, and his mother and step-father, Janet (Windsich) and Tom English. Gary is survived by his loving wife, Janet (Holtkamp) Pack, of the home and his brother, Ken Pack, of Golden, Colorado.



A Veteran, Gary served as a Marine in the Vietnam War. Gary assisted with the annual Christmas Toys for Tots project sponsored by the Marine Corps League.



Before retiring, Gary worked as a kitchen helper and dishwasher in various Columbia establishments.



Gary was a long-time member of Sacred Heart church. In his later years, he participated in Our Lady’s Rosary Makers making hundreds of rosaries for the missions in various African countries and Tijuana, Mexico. Gary’s faith in the Lord Jesus shaped the last 30 years of his life.



God saw that he was not getting better and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around him and whispered in his ear, “Come home to me.”
